Xiaomi Redmi 9 vs Infinix Hot 9 – All Aspect comparison
Design Aspect
Here both devices come with plastic and glass at the back and front. But the Redmi 9 has some gorilla glass 3 protecting the front glass. The fingerprint scanner on both phones is placed at the back. Volume rockers and unlock keys are on the lefts side of the Hot 9 while on the Redmi they are on the right side.
The Infinix Hot 9 has a punch-hole display while the Redmi comes with the dated waterdrop notch. Both devices have a vertical camera module that houses Quad lenses. The Redmi 9 camera array sits in the middle while that of the infinix hot 9 is on the left side. Xiaomi Redmi 9 is actually heavier at 198g than the Hot 9 at 185g. In this aspect, the design of the infinix hot 9 is more appealing to me.
Display Aspect
Both phones come with an IPS LCD display but they have different display sizes. The Redmi 9 has a display size of 6.53 inches while the hot 9 has 6.6 inches. In terms of resolution, we have a 1080p display on the Redmi 9 while the Hot 9 comes with a 720p display.
The infinix hot 9 has a better screen to body ratio at 82% while the redmi 9 sits at 83% but I don’t think that really matters. When it comes to pixel density the redmi 9 has more pixels per inch at 395 while the hot 9 stays at 266. In this aspect, the redmi is ahead with a 1080p display and a display that is brighter than the Hot 9.
Camera Aspect
In this department, both devices have quad lenses as we stated earlier. We have a 13 MP main camera on the Redmi 9 an 8MP ultrawide camera, 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. the infinix Hot 9 comes with a 13MP main camera, 2MP macro, 2MP depth, and a QVGA if you buy the 64/128 GB variants of the HOT 9 you get a 16MP main camera.
Upfront both devices come with an 8MP camera that can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The rear cameras shoot 1080p videos at 30fps as well on both devices. In this aspect, the Redmi 9 gets the win for me because of the versatility of the cameras on the device.
Software and Performance Aspect
Here both phones run on android 10 but the Infinix Hot 9 has the XOS 6.0 skin while the Xiaomi Redmi 9 has the MIUI 11. The MIUI is miles ahead of the XOS even though both have their fair share of bloats and ads.
The Infinix Hot 9 is powered by the MediaTek Helio A25 while the Redmi 9 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 which is a gaming chip. Both phones have an octa-core CPU and the PowerVR GE8320 is the GPU on the infinix while The Mali-G52 MC2 is on the Redmi 9. The Redmi 9 is clearly ahead in this aspect better processor and software experience.

In this aspect, the hot 9 comes with a 5000mAh battery while the Redmi 9 comes with a 5020mAh battery and 18W fast charging. Both batteries will last more than a day on a single charge but the fast charging on the Redmi 9 is an extra feature that places it ahead of the Hot 9 in the battery aspect.

These phones might share certain features but the Redmi 9 is clearly ahead and within that price of N60, 000 it can easily be a big value for the money.
