While Apple puts aside the Mini project, Google could present a compact-sized Pixel smartphone.
While Apple has put aside the Mini project by not donating any successor to the iPhone 13 Mini, the Android world may be willing to go the path of compact smartphones. This is what emerges from a new rumor that would see Google engaged in the development of a Pixel Mini. Big-G has always been active in this field. Suffice it to say that among the compact Android smartphones we can include Pixel 6a.
The Pixel Mini would look like a Pixel 7, but smaller in size. The design, therefore, would be the same as the top of the range that we will see in October: a hole on the screen for the front camera and rear cameras hosted by the Camera Bar, the horizontal bar located on the back cover. However, this Mini version does not seem destined to arrive with the next generation of smartphones but there could be some clues within the lines of code of the software or during the presentation to be held on October 6th.
On the other hand, the new smartphones and the first Pixel Watch were previewed by Google during the Google I / O in May. Maybe it could do the same with Pixel Mini. No indication, however, regarding the technical characteristics. Considering that the Pixel 6a is equipped with a 6.1-inch screen, we can imagine that this potential Pixel Mini could integrate a display under 6 inches in addition to the Tensor processors, which Google has begun to build in-house.
For the moment, there is very little information about it. However, it happens that we are talking about a product in development which is then actually announced a few years later. This was the case with the Pixel Watch but also with Apple’s rugged smartwatch, Apple Watch Ultra which, after years of rumors, was only announced on September 7th.
