The new GoPro Hero 11 Black comes in three: the main model, a Mini version, and a full version dedicated to creators with more accessories.
It is an open challenge between GoPro and DJI who announced the new generation of their action cameras on the same day. GoPro has unveiled the Hero 11 Black, confirming most of the information that emerged. The latest action camera comes in three: the main model, a Mini version, and a full version dedicated to creators with more accessories. The news is all hidden in a body that remains unchanged: it is the same as the Hero 10 Black which was the same as the Hero 9 Black.
The newcomer introduces a renewed 1/1.9-inch sensor that promises better performance at night and allows you to record videos with an aspect ratio of 8:7, perfect for social media (TikTok). There is always the possibility of recording in 16: 9 and 4: 3. Increase photo resolution from 23MP to 27MP. 10-bit video recording arrives and also increases autonomy thanks to GoPro’s Enduro battery. Nothing changes for the water resistance up to 10 meters.
The processor also remains unchanged, but the electronic stabilization is enhanced and the TimeWarp function that allows you to record motion-stabilized timelapse videos goes from 4K to 5.3K in 16: 9 or 4:3.
As mentioned, there are two other versions: Hero11 Black Creator Edition and Hero11 Black Mini. Both models have the same functions as the base model. Still, the creator version adds more elements: a grip with an integrated battery, control buttons, a directional microphone, an external microphone input, an HDMI port, an LED light, and two supports for additional accessories. The list price starts at $659.98.
Hero11 Black Mini is more compact, as it does not integrate the two integrated displays on the primary model: 1.4-inch front and 2.27-inch rear. The list price starts at $349.98. GoPro Hero11 Black, on the other hand, has a starting price of $549.99.
