Xiaomi Has been enjoying lots of success rate within the smartphone world and definitely has built a great reputation with its a previous smartphone, the A-series has given the brand a lot of good reputation and the latest A series is the Xiaomi Mi A3, and this is my Xiaomi mi A3 Review, Just a quick pick.
This device was released on the 17th July 2019 in Europe and start at the price of 249 euros equivalent of 100,000 in Nigeria Currency. One thing you should know is that this smartphone is not much of a difference from the Xiaomi CC9 announced early. The A3 runs on Android One and the CC9 runs on the regular Android.
Just a little difference in market regions, Xiaomi C99 is targeting youths who want a great smartphone with great price and want to get it at a budget price while the Xiaomi Mi A3 is focusing on giving the A series more Global recognition.
Xiaomi MI A3 Review – Deisgn
The Design Aspect of this smartphone is the first thing I will talk about and it looks like that design you’d get on Xiaomi Mi 9. In comparison to CC9 they both have the same design and comes in the same color -White Lover, Blue Planet, Dark prince.

Not just that, the camera alignment on the Xiaomi Mi A3 is just exactly the same setup on the Xiaomi CC9, Triple cameras are at the upper left, and the Xiaomi text logo is aligned vertically down the cameras. Above the screen, the waterdrop notch takes in the 32 MP Selfie camera- The same on both devices.
Talking about the screen size for this device. It has 6.08 AMOLED Display at 720p resolution and the PPI is about 398 and it is aspect ratio is 19.5:19. This smaller compared to what we have on CC9 and another noticeable is the Chin at the bottom of the display.
Must Read – What You Should Google’s Android Go
The back of the Xiaomi MI A3 has pretty design made with glass and it is an all-curved rear glass. Glass durability is still a top-notch because Xiaomi Uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for the back design of this device.
At the back section, the only thing you see the camera alignment and also the Xiaomi text logo, no fingerprint sensor but this smartphone has both the fingerprint and also it has a face unlock feature. The fingerprint reader is under the display.
Xiaomi Mi A3 Review CameraÂ
Hope you have been enjoying my Xiaomi Mi A3 Review, the next part we will talk about is the Camera on this device. Photography is one major key on smartphones, personally, I love smartphone with great Camera Module.

I said earlier that this smartphone has triple rear camera modules and each has a SONY 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture, a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture respectively.
The front shooting module has a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, this is similar to the camera on Infinix Hot S4 and also Tecno Phantom 9. The combination of this camera is the same on Xiaomi CC9.
The primary camera 48-megapixel is the SONY IMX586 camera, which also can be found on Mi9 and OnePlus 7 Pro, seems promising for good photography. The bad part here is that on Mi A3 it lacks OIS and it won’t perform well as the flagships would do.
Under low light conditions, It supports a ‘4 in 1’ big-pixel feature to help you shoot brighter photos with better detail. Under bright conditions, the Xiaomi A3 performs great with natural color reproduction and fine contrast.
It fast images capturing and image processing make it possible to capture the moment in action and this is really impressive. Under Balanced exposure, the Xiaomi Mi A3 does a great job with the photography.
The highlight of the camera on this device is the night mode for the camera to take pictures at night under pure darkness. The dark sky has better brightness and more detail, while the bright text on the building is much clearer with correct exposure, the general bright on this device got really improved.
The second module for wide-angle photography performs greatly when shooting under bright conditions but it becomes blurry and loses the image quality when shooting Under low light condition, it was reported that this is the same issue faced on Xiaomi CC9.
The third 2MP camera mainly does the depth calculation for portrait mode. With its work, we can have a natural background blurring and relatively correct edge detection for still life photography
The Front 32-megapixel also takes amazing pictures and this is another highlight of this device. Tho, some features on the C99 are not present on the Mi A3 but still, the images are amazing and well detailed. It runs the normal camera app and not Xiaomi Camera App and you wont get Mimoji, and post-editing features that are present on Xiaomi CC9.
Xiaomi Mi A3 Review Display

We cant talk about a smartphone and we won’t talk about the display. So, on the Xiaomi Mi A3 Review, the display is the next thing we would talk about. Nothing Much to talk about the display actually.
Xiaomi A3 features a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED 720 x 1560p display upfront with a waterdrop notch that houses the Selfie camera, this 720p display definitely can be the biggest reason for you to give it up because it has a grainy feel and cant be compared to 1080p displays.
Performance and Battery Life
A downside for Xiaomi Mi A3 is on the Performance aspect, it is based on Snapdragon 665 Soc rating at 2GHz. It comes in two versions, – 64 GB ROM / 4 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM / 6 GB RAM. Unlike the Chinese version Xiaomi CC9e, Xiaomi A3 lacks a ‘Game Turbo’ feature which can slightly optimize the gaming performance.
Gaming On this device is not rated to be a top-notch experience the truth here is, you cant play games like PUBG and have fluid experience but dealing with other games could give you nice gaming experience.
This device is based on Android One which is On Android 9.0 Version. Read all about what Android One is and which devices already runs on that Operating System.
Concluding my Xiaomi Mi A3 Review, the battery life of this device is what I will use to end it all, After all, without battery, your phone is more like a dead tool lol. Xiaomi Mi A3 packs in a 4030mAh battery which charges fast with it 18W Fast Charging feature that the device has.
Conclusion
In my conclusion for the Xiaomi Mi A3 Review, I must say that this device really worth to be called a good budget smartphone you can go for and enjoy the great feature. Don’t forget it has an in-display fingerprint sensor and it has a whopping 32-megapixel front selfie camera and it also has a Triple Rear camera.
Battery life too is okay and the performance is quite good especially for the price because it runs on Snapdragon 665 with speed processor of 2GHz and not to forget that this device supports fast charging of 18W for battery charge.
