Android OS is (if not) the world largest and widest Operating System we have and there comes also the Android One.
At first, when I first heard about this OS, I do feel like it another version of Android. Just as we have Android Froyo, Nougat, Lollipop or Marshmallow.
Android has evolved a lot and every year they tend to come out with something new and new naming of each version.
So what is really the main point of creating Android One when we already have lots of Android versions?
Origin of Android One
This was launched by Sundar Pichai (Google CEO) at the Google I/O event in 2014. It was launched to address the issue of smartphones to be more “secure and pure ”.
Android One phone comes in a complete range in terms of the quality of the devices, they are not a High-end or expensive device in price and they are not cheap either.
What is Android One
The Android One is more of a program managed by Google which is in conjunction with other hardware manufacturers and it not a version of Android.
Producing a device with that OS means that the device is not loaded with any preinstalled app, no skin and it guarantees a stable and pure version of Android OS (Stock Android).
To create an Android One device it takes some set of requirement for any phone brand to produce a mobile phone with that OS. It is not like on the Open Source Android Program which anyone builds upon.
