Samsung Galaxy S22s Receive January Update

Samsung is very attentive to the updates of its products and, as usual, has just released the January patches for its Galaxy S22.

Samsung will present the models that will replace the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra in February. The company will continue to support last year’s models for a long time to come. Given their characteristics and the price that will gradually drop, they could be very convenient products to buy.

In the last few hours, Samsung has released the update for the S22 series models with the Exynos 2200 processor on board. These are the devices distributed and sold in different countries already. The update had arrived a few days ago on the models with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor on board which, however, never arrived on some markets.

The update contains the latest security patches from January 2023 and its designation is S90 x BXXS2BWA2. The first x changes with respect to the model for which the update is intended. No other particular information has been received about the changelog of the update itself which therefore only seems to introduce the security patches.

It will be necessary to wait some more time to receive the new One UI 5.1 on these devices as well. The debut of the new interface should take place in conjunction with the launch of the new S23, but the arrival of the current series should take some time to wait.

In reality, One UI 5.1 could arrive on S22 as early as February, shortly after the launch of S23. In the past, Samsung made the latest interfaces exclusive to new models for some time. In reality, over the last few years, the trend has always been to adapt and update even the previous devices to the new interfaces. A path that other manufacturers have also decided to take some time ago.
