Smartphone technology has come a long way since the first mobile phone was invented. With each passing day, new models with advanced features and improved technology are introduced in the market. In this context, Oppo Reno8 T is the next big thing in smartphone technology. In this article, we will discuss the reasons why this phone is becoming increasingly popular among smartphone users.
Why Oppo Reno8 T is the Next Big Thing in Smartphone Technology
Oppo has been a major player in the smartphone industry for quite some time now. Its latest offering, the Oppo Reno8 T, is a testimony to the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence. This phone comes with a host of features that make it stand out from the competition. I used the device for a few days and also asked people in my hood to check out the device and the greatness it has to offer and the depth at which it is super ready to outstand from other devices and the response is just like mine – Oppo Reno8 T is a powerful beast with a beautiful look. This is why this Oppo Reno8 T review is here to take you through the Ultimate value we experienced.
Design and Build Quality
Let’s start with the design of the Oppo Reno8 T. This smartphone boasts a sleek and stylish appearance that is sure to catch the eye. The device features a large 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, offering a crisp and clear viewing experience. The Reno8 T also has a slim and lightweight design, making it easy to hold and use for extended periods.

The Oppo Reno8 T has a sleek and stylish design that is sure to turn heads. It features a premium metal and glass construction that gives it a premium look and feel. The phone is also lightweight and slim, making it easy to carry around.
A colleague held the phone in his arms and the first thing that he said was that
“This smartphone is so lightweight and even with the protective case that came with the phone, the phone is still not heavy”
What Oppo did about the design is solid and intuitively distinct from the device when held on hand.
The camera bump at the back of the device is placed at the top right corner of the device and this makes the phone wobble when placed down. But, that is not a problem as the protective case is here to save the day on that part.

One of the little things but yet adds more to the beauty of the device is a green light that shines at the camera frame when the device is charging. It adds beauty to the aesthetic.
Display
The Oppo Reno8 T comes with a superb 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen is bright and vivid, with excellent color reproduction and contrast levels. It also features a high refresh rate of 90Hz, making it perfect for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.
The curved edges of the Reno8 T device based on our review added more to the beauty of the device. Oppo built the device with curved edges and has a display that follows that pattern is well done.
One downside of the device display that I do not find exciting is the 1080P being the highest resolution for the display. Something higher than that would have been much more interesting. And to break it more for you, the display doesn’t support HDR. But I am sure you might think should be possible based on the price of the device. But here we are!!!
With our Reno8 T review, we can tell you for sure that you will be getting great value. It has a 90Hz refresh rate just like we said earlier and you can switch it down to 60Hz (Standard) refresh rate. I think they sacrificed the HDR feature to give us this.
Consuming media, playing games, and watching movies with this device is good I won’t say it is great but at least the value you will be getting matches the money you paid. lol.
Camera
The Oppo Reno8 T features a triple-camera setup at the back, which includes a 100MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera is capable of capturing stunning photos with excellent detail and color accuracy. It also comes with a host of features like night mode, portrait mode, and AI scene detection.

Since the device doesn’t come with a higher resolution on display, the highest resolution for the camera while shooting videos is 1080. Not bad but at the same, could be better.
The device shoots vibrant pictures even indoors. I tested the camera on the device and in this Oppo Reno8 T review, I saw the possibilities that can be achieved with the cameras even at low light conditions.
I took the shot using the portrait mode and the Oppo Reno8 T was able to produce a very nice shot.
The details from the pictures are well captured. The camera did well, The 100MP camera is capable of taking shots at 100MP if the setting is toggled on. This makes it possible to capture more details on any shot taken.
Software & Performance
The Oppo Reno8 T runs on the latest version of ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 13. The software is fast, and fluid, and comes with a host of useful features like system-wide dark mode, smart battery management, and more. The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC did very nice work while handling apps and tasks. Oppo optimized the CPU well enough. There are other phones that use the same CPU but the Vivo 27e doesn’t seem to be as fast as the Oppo Reno8 T.

The Oppo Reno8 T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, which is a powerful and efficient processor. The phone also comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, making it perfect for multitasking and storing large files.
Looking at the deeper side of what is under the hood of the device. We have an 8 Core CPU at 2.20 GHZ speed. it is not something special but it is something good. When it comes to running apps smoothly WITHOUT HANGING OR lagging OR FREEZING the Reno8 T depicts this when we are working on the Oppo Reno8 T review.
I did some Geekbench scores on the::::::

Looking at the storage. The most impressive part is getting 256GB of Internal storage. Since the camera cannot really record high-quality videos then the storage is enough to save videos recorded on the device. The system files did not take much of the storage either. So you have enough storage for your files and installation.
Remember that one ColorOS can also increase RAM virtually by taking a part of the internal storage and turning it into RAM to make your apps run smoothly. This makes your device to even run smoother. That is a lifesaver feature on this device because the device will give you just 3GB RAM left when you turn it on the device.
Android 13 operating system is already preinstalled on the device with all of the features from ColorOS as well. This feature includes but is not limited to
- Always-ON display
- Screen Translate when you take screenshots of any page
- Auto Pixelate of screenshots.
Just to mention a Few.
Battery
Straight off I can tell you that during my time with this device, the battery life is 100% great. I tried to put more work on the CPU to see if that will affect the battery duration. I also set the display to a 90Hz refresh rate to stress the device more. To my surprise, the device handles the work efficiently and uses less battery.
Before I come up with my Oppo Reno8 T review, I made sure I drain the battery down to 1% BEFORE Charging the device. I plugged in the charger and in 30 minutes I got 57% of the charge and in 55mins I got 100% battery charge.
I love it when a device can be trusted for quick charge and Oppo does that very well for me. Not only that, the 5000mAh battery lasted for about 9 hours with my usage. Gaming and movie are included aside from surfing the internet.
But there is a downside to the battery and the thermal experience. when the network connectivity in your area is bad, it put more stress on the device to look for a good connection and this makes the device get hot and drains the battery faster than normal.
Other Aspects
You might not consider using the face ID feature as it looks slow to me, especially in low-light conditions. So I will suggest you use the in-display fingerprint sensor for faster unlocking of the device. If you have always display turned on the device, immediately you lift the device it shows you the sensor placement, it makes unlocking faster.
The Oppo Reno8 T comes with a host of connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.
