Infinix recently released the infinix S5 and Infinix S5 lite. We will compare both devices side by side so as we can be able to see their differences and Similarities.
The infinix s4 was released earlier in 2019 and it was one of my favorite smartphones of the year.
Here we have the upgraded version which is the infinix S5 paired against its younger brother with almost the same specs the Infinix S5 Lite.
Read along as we explore both Similarities and also the differences
The first aspect we will take a look at is the display on both smartphones to see if there will be any difference to make them distinguishable.
In terms of display, nothing separates the two devices and that is a good thing considering the fact that you get a big display even from the less expensive variant.
Now let’s talk about the design, both devices have the same design and also the same color variants that are somewhat confusing, lol.
They are made out of polycarbonate material and plastic. Both the Infinix S5 and Infinix S5 lite rocks the same look and weight.
At a glance, you cannot differentiate between the two devices expect if you take a deep look at the camera alignment because S5 Lite gat a triple camera lens.
I personally feel color variants should have been different at least so as someone might not be tricked into buying either of the two.
The only difference from the design is that the infinix S5 has a quad-camera setup at the back while the infinix S5 lite has a triple camera setup at the back.
They both come with the infinix branding at the back, fingerprint sensor, and also the dot in display at the front which is the most special thing about the smartphone.
Infinix S5 Vs Infinix S5 Lite Software and Performance Comparison
To compare Infinix S5 vs Infinix S5 lite seem funny. Both devices come with midrange chips and everything is the same on this aspect too.
The Infinix s5 vs Infinix S5 lite has an octa-core MediaTek 6762 Helio P22 processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
It powers up all the regular apps as fast as possible and also allows you to play midrange games including high-end games like PubG and CoD on lower frame rates. The only difference here is in terms of storage and ram which is as below.
Storage on The Infinix S5
The infinix S5 comes with 4GB or 6GB of Ram with 64GB or 128GB of Storage. The storage option is expandable to 258GB with an Sd Card
Storage on the Infinix s5 Lite
The infinix S5 comes with 3GB or 4GB of Ram with 32GB or 64GB of Storage. The storage option is expandable to 258GB with an Sd Card
Both devices run on Android 9 pie with infinix XOS V5.5. It runs smoothly with additional new features that include saving your WhatsApp status and others.
Infinix S5 Vs Infinix S5 Lite Camera Comparison
Well, this is where the difference sets in. The camera on the Infinix S5 performs way better than the Camera on The Infinix s5 Lite. I’ll explain it all.
The infinix S5 has a quad-camera setup at the back which includes a 16MP main shooter, 2MP macro lens, 5MP wide-angle camera, and a 32MP front selfie camera if you have used the infinix s4 then you know what the image quality can be like.
The Infinix s5 Lite, on the other hand, has a triple camera setup at the back and these include a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a QVGA lens, and an 8MP selfie camera.
Image quality is not the same as the infinix S5 will produce better quality. If you really care about photography then the infinix s5 will take stunning shots.
Infinix S5 Vs Infinix S5 Lite Battery And Charging Speed
Both devices come with a 4000mAh battery capable of running a whole day on a single charge as we have seen on the Infinix s4.
Charging from zero to hundreds will take a little more than two hours.
Coming from the infinix s4 you won’t see any major upgrades. But if you want a larger display it is worth upgrading too.
One more interesting thing is the performance on the Infinix s5 Lite is similar to the infinix S5.
I normally check on performance first before buying a phone and I think any device among these two is worth having especially with the dot in camera on the screen.
