Infinix Note 10 Pro Hot Take. What Should You Expect, And How Does It Compare To The Competition?

It has been confirmed that Infinix will be officially taking the veils off its next-rated Note 10 Pro phone on May 13 in Pakistan, which happens to be just in a few days to come, though we can’t tell for now if this date stands true for the launching of the phone in other regions.

But before that time, it wouldn’t hurt anyone if we decide to bring all the rumors and leaks together, in order to take a more critical look at the device that is waiting to launch, so you’d know what to expect from it, and how it compares to the competition.

And without further ado, let’s get started. #enjoy.

All About The Infinix Note 10 Pro Phone – Details Shared

Note 10 Pro Display

As of the time of writing this article, the Infinix Note 10 Pro is rumored and has been leaked countless times, to ship with the same 6.95 Inches sized LCD display panel as its last two predecessors, the Infinix Note 7 and Note 8, but this time, the panel will be able to run at 90Hz refresh rates, and the resolution will cap at 1080p (Full HD+).

Remember that the two last models of the Infinix Note lineup both had the same large display sizes, but with a 720p resolution, and both came with the now-aging 60Hz refresh rates.

So, in terms of display, the coming Infinix Note 10 Pro phone is definitely a big upgrade over those of its predecessors, but in terms of how it compares to the competition, especially when looking at similar offerings from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 lineup being armed with OLED panels, then I must say that Infinix has once again, failed to impress.

Camera on The Note 10 Pro

As of the time of writing this article, it has only been confirmed that the Infinix Note 10 Pro phone will come fitted with a quad-camera setup on the rear, with the main one being a 64MP sensor

The other three supporting sensors haven’t been confirmed, but if we are to guess, it wouldn’t hurt by saying maybe an 8MP ultra-wide, considering the fact that most other similar offerings from competing brands such as Xiaomi and the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A series now have a proper ultra-wide sensor on them, so, Infinix has no excuse not to include one on the Note 10 Pro phone this time.

While the other two sensors, my best guess is a 2MP depth sensor, and a second a 2MP macro unit as it has always been.

The front-facing camera will be tucked safely in a hole-punch cutout inside the phone’s screen as usual, but this time, the position of the hole-punch cutout has been moved from the far-left-hand-side of the screen, now to the top-center position of the phone’s screen, to imitate that premium look that you’ll usually get with other brands.

Processor, RAM, And Storage

For now, there seems to be a little bit of confusion in terms of the actual processor or chipset that the Infinix Note 10 Pro phone is going to be equipped with.

A real-life retail box of the phone that leaked sometime in March revealed an Helio G95 chipset, while a Google Play console listing of the phone that also leaked around the same period showed an Helio G90 chipset, and a third leaked Geekbench score of the same phone, revealed an Helio G90T chipset.

So, we can’t tell what exactly the chipset of this phone is gonna be, but, what we know for sure is that the phone is gonna come fitted with up to 8 Gigabytes of RAM, and, you can have it with up to 256 Gigabytes of internal storage options.

So, is this an upgrade over Infinix Note and Note 8 specs?

Definitely yes. Especially with the fact that Note 7 and 8 both tops out at 6 Gigabytes of RAM, and 128 Gigabytes of storage, so, yes, it is an upgrade.

And even if the Infinix Note 10 Pro ends up shipping with an Helio G95 chipset running inside of it as the leaked retail box photos have revealed, though this chipset is plenty fast and wouldn’t have you wanting for more in everyday use of the phone, I feel the Snapdragon 7xx offerings from competing brands will give more oomph in performance, especially when it comes to driving that large 90Hz refresh rate display.

Software

As expected, the Infinix Note 10 Pro will be shipping with Android 11 out of the box, and this will, in turn, have a makeover of Infinix XOS version 7.6 on it.

One negative factor that has always placed Infinix phones below the radar when compared to its competitors is the fact that Infinix phones don’t get updated to new android versions, not even one.

While the likes of Xiaomi gives their Redmi Note and another mid-range lineup at least up to 1-year new android version update, then it follows it up with new MIUI versions for at least up to two additional years, and Samsung has even upped their game by promising up to three years of new android version updates for all its recently released Smartphone.

But, as in the case of Infinix, you either have to get a new Infinix Smartphone like the upcoming Note 10 Pro if you want to enjoy the new android version that it will be coming with, or you stick with your old phones, with their outdated versions of android.

So, if android version updates is of most importance to you, or it is among one the things you look out for when planning on getting a new smartphone, then the Infinix Note 10 Pro should definitely be taken out of your list, as Infinix is far behind the competition in that regards.

Battery Life On the Infinix Note 10 Pro

Unsurprisingly, the Infinix Note 10 Pro is rumored to come armed with a 5000mAh battery tank, which can be refilled via a 33W superfast charging system, while, using a USB Type-C port.

Just so you know, the Infinix Note 8 phone came with a 200mAh more battery tank, so, the use of a slightly lesser battery on the Note 10 Pro might just be put on the use of a maybe more power-efficient processor.

And come to think of it, 5000mAh on a phone is still a pretty large size. Isn’t it? Just as we see on the Tecno Spark 7P – Comparable.

Pricing

As of now, we don’t have any concrete information about what the pricing of this device is gonna be like, not even a rumor. So, we can only guess.

And, considering the fact that the Infinix Note 8 sold for 99,000 NGN, then it is safe to assume that the Note 10 Pro should sell for anywhere within 105,000 NGN to 110,000 NGN.

You know, just somewhere between the price of the Note 8 and the Zero 8. And I bet Infinix wouldn’t want to go head-to-head in terms of pricing with other brands such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note offerings, cause that will just place them as a laughing stock in the market out there.

So, guys, this is clearly everything you need to know for now concerning the upcoming Infinix Note phone, which is due to launch in just a few days to come.

Remember that everything mentioned and discussed here is not the real or official specs of the phone, as we will only get to confirm all that when the phone finally launches.

So, kindly take them with a pinch of salt, and make sure to keep your fingers crossed. #Cheers.
