In this post, we will be comparing the Infinix hot 9 vs the Tecno spark 5. These phones are quite similar with only a few differences between them. It’s been a while since we did this but we are back with it again and feel free to use the comment section to tell us any comparison that you are interested in reading.
This is going to be an all aspect comparison so we are going to break down this post into sections for easy understanding. The Infinix hot 9 was released in April 2020 while the Tecno spark 5 was released in May 2020.

Design Comparison
Both devices have a similar design they are both made of plastic and glass. They both have a punch hole to the left side of the display. The camera placement is similar both devices also have a rear fingerprint scanner.
There is a Tecno branding at the bottom of the rear end while the infinix branding is beneath the fingerprint sensor and the HOT branding is at the bottom of the infinix. The weight is also similar to the infinix weighing 185g while the spark 5 weighs 195g.
Placement of volume rocker and unlock button is at the right side and they both have a headphone jack. There is nothing much too separate them here but I prefer the design at the back of the infinix hot 9.
Display Comparison
Both phones have a 6.6 inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixel resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Screen to body ratio is almost the same here with the spark 5 at 83% and the hot 9 at 82%. Both screens have 266 pixels per inch and would display 16 million colors. We can’t really say anything here because both displays are the same.

Camera Aspect Comparison Infinix Hot 9 vs Tecno Spark 5
In this aspect, both phones come with a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2 MP macro camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a QVGA lens that we don’t know what to use it for. The camera on paper looks the same but if you buy the 64 or 128 GB variant of the infinix Hot 9 you will get a 16 MP main while the remaining lens will be the same.
The infinix hot 9 has a triple LED flash while the spark 5 has Quad-LED flash. Both phones shoot videos 1080p@fps. The selfie shooter on both phones is an 8MP camera but the spark 5 has a dual-LED flashlight. They both record 1080@30fps with the front camera. Picture quality will be similar on both phones because they both have similar software and hardware.
Performance and Software
The infinix hot 9 is powered by the Mediatek Helio A25 while the Tecno spark 5 is powered by the Mediatek Helio A22. Where the difference will come in play is if you have the 4GB variant of the Infinix Hot 9.
Both chips are clocked at 12 nanometers but the infinix hot 9 is ahead. Both phones have an octa-core CPU and the PowerVRGE8320 is the GPU. Software-wise there no much difference between the XOS and HiOs you get similar bloatware and ads.
But the hot 9 runs on XoS 6.0 while the spark 5 runs on HiOs 6.1 one major problem will be lack of updates. And of course both phones run on Android 10.

In the storage department, the infinix hot 9 comes with the following options

Tecno Spark 5
In the storage department, the Tecno spark 5 comes with just a 2 GB/ 32GB option
Battery Aspect
In this aspect, both phones come with a 5000mAh battery and there is no fast charging. The battery here will take you a whole day no matter how you use it. It is best to charge at night while you sleep.

Conclusion
It is very difficult to actually pick one device ahead of the other when it comes to the devices we are talking about. The decision to buy a phone here will come down to the brand you prefer. They share a lot of similarities and I think the main difference here will be that one is from Infinix and the other is from Tecno.
