Android O (8.0) May be Named As Oatmeal Cookie

What do you think Android O (8.0) name could be? I want you to check out some of my findings and what I think Google might name Android O .

Most of Android Versions have always come in the alphabetical Ordered name:

Android Cupcake(1.5),

Donut (1.6),

Eclair (2.0),

Froyo (2.2),

Gingerbread (2.3),

HonneyComb (3.0),

IceCream Sandwich (4.0),

Jelly Bean (4.1) ,

KitKat (4.4)

Lollipop (5.0),

MarshMallow (6.0),

Android Nougat(7.0). Now the Question is what name will google give to Android O (8.0)?

Consequently, Android names always come in form sweetens just  like the Lollipop, Donut, Eclair, Marshmallow, froyo and other. Can we actuallly say that Android will follow same trend this time?

Information At Hand About Android O (8.0)

However, a leaked information suggest that the source code of Android O (8.0) contains references of oc-dev which is being test n Sailfish (original Google Pixel phone).

Android O (8.0) May be Named As Oatmeal Cookie
The mentioning of “oc” in the source code may indicate to the name of Android O (8.0) operating system.

Moreover, Oatmeal Cookie didn’t appear directly, but speculations have it that the name of Android O might be from the  “o” and “c” and may be Oatmeal Cookie…

Interestingly, at the Google I/O 2017 event that held in May, some people spot the references of Oatmeal Cookie during some of its sessions. These are some of the proofs that suggest that Android O (8.0) might be  Oatmeal Cookie.

At this point, the Android O (8.0) is in its third developer preview stage. Google will be releasing four developer previews of Android O before the final version.

As a result, Last Year’s release of android 7.0, ultimately the first non-Google phone to come with Android Nougat (7.0) was LG V20. I presume that, the LG V30 might come as the first non-Google phone with Android O (8.0) Oatmeal Cookie.
