The design of these new oppo flagships is somewhat interesting. Starting with the back each device has two variants the oppo find x2 pro comes with ceramic or leatherback while the oppo find x2 comes with either glass or ceramic back.
Both devices, however, have an aluminum frame. The oppo x2 pro has IP 68 water resistance while the find x2 has only splash resistance. Both phones have three cameras at the back we will compare that later.
One of the major setbacks to me is the curved display on both phones but it’s still okay for people who like it. Both phones come with a hole-punch display. The oppo find x2 and the oppo find x2 pro come with an in-display fingerprint.
When it comes to design the oppo find x2 pro is ahead I prefer the leather finish and water resistance on the device.
Display Comparison
In this aspect, both phones rock the same specs which is something we don’t see especially when smartphone brands create Pro models. Both phones come with a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with the same resolution of 1440 x 3168.
The phones adopt the gorilla glass 6 for protecting the glass display they both have 90.9 screen to body ratio to highlight the tiny bezels.
Both devices have the 120Hz refresh rate and an additional 240Hz touch-sensing which makes the display respond faster. Since both specs are the same this aspect is a draw.
Camera Comparison Oppo Find X2 vs Find X2 Pro
Both devices have three cameras at the back but the find x2 pro rocks a slightly higher camera sensor. the phones come with the Sony camera sensors but the find x2 pro rocks the 48MP IMX 689 sensor with an f/1.7, seven-piece lens, while on the other hand, the find x2 a 48MP IMX 586 sensor. Other cameras on the find x2 pro include a 13MP telephoto lens and another 48MP ultra-wide lens.
The find x2 has also has a 13MP telephoto lens and another 12MP ultra-wide lens. Both devices come with a 32MP front camera that is embedded inside the screen. In terms of picture quality, the oppo find x2 pro has a bigger and better sensor so it is ahead in this aspect.
Performance and Storage
This is another interesting aspect as both phones rock similar chipsets it also justifies the fact that you can put your money on any of the devices. Both devices run on android 10 and color OS 7.1 is the User interface. The phones are powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset that is the latest snapdragon chipset. They both have the Adreno 650 GPU. The devices both have 12GB Ram while the find x2 pro has 512 GB of storage and the find x2 has 256 GB of storage. There is no room for expandable storage on both devices.
Battery Comparison
The oppo find x2 pro comes with a 4260mAh battery while the find x2 comes with a 4200mAh battery. Both devices come with 65W fast charging ability. As a result of the SuperVOOC 2.0, flash charge both phones charge from 0 to 100% in 38 minutes.
Which One Should You Buy?
Considering their slight price difference I think the ideal one to go with is the Oppo Find X2 Pro. This is because of the water-resistance and leather finish at the back. None the less both devices are outstanding and are worth having as your daily driver.
But I will personally look towards the Pro model.
