Honor seems close to the launch of Magic 5: the company’s new top-of-the-range could already arrive during the MWC 2023 in Barcelona.
Honor Magic 5 looks closer to launch than expected. The device from the Chinese company will replace the excellent Honor Magic 4 Pro, also available in the Honor Magic Lite variant. Variante Lite and Pro belong to two very different market segments: the differences are also reflected in the price.
During MWC 2023, the announcement of the new Honor Magic 5 could arrive which, in some countries, should arrive in the Pro and Ultimate variant as well as in the Lite variant.
Some renderings have been leaked on the web that compares the current standard model, which is not available in some countries in Europe, with the new Magic 5. Apparently, the devices are very similar, but what changes is the positioning of every single sensor of the rear circular photographic module.

According to what has been learned, the technical data sheets of the Magic 5 series devices could be very close to these:
- Honor Magic 5: 3 cam rear photo module with up to 100x zoom
- Honor Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Ultimate: photographic module with 4 rear cams with three 50 MP modules and one 64 MP module
- The processor on board all variants: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
These data are very similar to those of the Magic 4 series. What will probably change will be the quality of each sensor as well as the graphics engine that processes the shots.
Another very interesting aspect of these new smartphones will certainly be fast charging. Honor should be able to bring fast charging up to 100W via cable and 50W wireless to the Honor Magic 5. This is very interesting data that, more and more often, influences users’ purchases.
The launch should coincide with the official opening of the gates of MWC 2023 in Barcelona: on February 27th. Should the date also be confirmed, Honor will announce a conference for that day. All that remains is to wait a few weeks to learn the truth about the new Magic 5 series.
