We are back again with another awesome comparison and today we are taking a look at the Infinix zero X Pro vs Tecno Phantom X. now these are top-of-the-line bleeding-edge phones from infinix and Tecno. we are going to put them through their paces to find the real deal between the two. We are going to categorize each aspect to make sure you understand everything easily.
Infinix made headlines recently with the release of the Infinix Zero x pro it has a moonshot camera. The Phantom X by Tecno on the other hand came with a curved display making us remember Samsung. They both have amazing cameras with the Zero X Pro having a 108MP camera. they are both made of glass and are also priced differently and it might be a huge factor if you decide to buy any of the phones.
The Infinix Zero X Pro has a starting price of NGN165,000 (400USD) while the Tecno Phantom X costs around 225,000 (550USD). Specs-wise I can’t decide which one you should go for but if you read along carefully you will get a better idea of the phone to get. Enough of the chit chat let’s jump straight into this comparison.
Infinix Zero X Pro vs Tecno Phantom X – Important Aspects
Display Aspect
We are starting with the display here and both devices have a high refresh rate display panel. the Phantom X has a 90Hz refresh rate while the Zero X Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate. They both have a bright AMOLED panel outdoors. The Zero X Pro is sized at 6.67 inches while the Phantom X is sized at 6.7 inches. We have a screen resolution of 1080 pixels on both phones.
The bezels on the Phantom X are thinner because we have a curved display that Tecno calls a waterfall display. Well, the Zero X Pro by Infinix has a small bezel and a flat display as well. Let me know what you prefer in the comments curved or flat displays. Pixel density on both phones is slightly below 400 pixels per inch and nothing much separates both phones. In this aspect, it’s almost tight both displays are great AMOLED.
The Zero X Pro takes the day because it has a higher refresh rate.
Design Aspect – Infinix Zero X Pro vs Tecno Phantom X
News Flash – both phones have a glass at the back and if it drops from a certain meter it will shatter.
They are not durable but the build quality on both phones is superb. We have the camera cutout at the center on the back of the Phantom X while that of the zero x pro is by the left side. Both phones have three cameras and we will talk more about them in a bit. The frames are made of plastic on both phones and Tecno confirmed that there is a Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back of the Phantom X. They are both fingerprint magnets but they come with a TPU case for protection.
We have an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Phantom X while the Zero X pro has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. I prefer side-mounted scanners as they are faster tell me what you prefer down in the comments.
We have a dual punch-hole front-facing camera on the Phantom X that is placed on the left side. The Infinix Zero X Pro has a centered punch hole camera cut out. The volume rocker and unlock key are placed on the right side while on the left we have the sim card and SD card holder on both phones. We have a headphone jack and USB type C charging port on both phones.
This aspect is very tight and it might get down to personal preference. I will go with the Zero X Pro because the display is flat. I am not a fan of curved displays because of accidental touches however Tecno managed to use a technology that prevents accidental touches.
Software and Performance
Both phones run on android 11 out of the box and the Phantom X has the HIOS 7.6 as interface and the XOS 7.6 on the Zero X Pro. they both come with preinstalled apps but there has been a massive cut down on ads on both phones. I hope we get at least one software update on both phones as it would be great.
Performance-wise they are both powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 which is a very decent Processor. It is on tie with the Snapdragon 732G found on the Redmi Note 10 pro. the Mali-G76 MC4 is the GPU on both phones.
This aspect has to be a tie because nothing separate’s both phones.
Storage Options
Tecno Phantom X – 8GB RAM/ 256GB Storage
Infinix Zero X Pro – 8GB RAM/ 128, 256GB Storage
Camera Aspect – Infinix Zero X Pro vs Tecno Phantom X
The camera on both phones is decent you get a lot of features in the camera app as well. The Infinix Zero X Pro has three cameras. We have a primary 108MP sensor, an 8MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, we also have an 8MP ultrawide lens. Now all the cameras have optical image stabilization and the periscope lens is responsible for the moonshot photography.
Upfront we have dual cameras on the Phantom X that comprises a 48MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide. The Zero X Pro has a single 16MP camera and that’s about it. Selfie pictures will be better on the Phantom X especially those group family photos.
The main camera on the Phantom is a 50MP camera with laser autofocus. We also have a 13MP telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
In this aspect we the Zero X pro is ahead especially because of its main 108MP sensor.
Battery Aspect
This aspect is interesting as the Zero X Pro has a 4500mAh battery and a 45Watts fast charger outside the box. The Phantom X has a 4700mAh battery and 33Watts fast charging. Battery life is decent on both phones and can last a whole day.
We have to give this aspect to the Phantom X because it has an extra 300mAh battery. But on the other hand, charging the Infinix Zero X Pro is faster compared to the charging time of Phantom X

If you decide to buy the Infinix Zero X pro ahead of the Tecno Phantom X then you will be getting more value for your money. Tecno claims the Phantom X is only for special people because within its price point there is a lot of competition.
