The number of individuals who have played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid is quite small. However, when counting those who were the coaches of those two teams, only two men have done that. The best wagers on these squads can be found at 1xbet.ug – online betting sites in Uganda thrives with excellent chances for all its members.
One of them was Radomir Antic. The other was Uruguayan former footballer and manager Enrique Fernández. He was born in 1912, and had a professional career that lasted between 1930 and 1937. He spent that period in teams from Argentina, Uruguay and Spain. Multiple football teams from these countries can be wagered in the 1xBet Uganda online betting sites, which offers in-play and pre-match options.
A forced retirement
Fernández was forced to retire as a professional player when he was only 25 years old. The reason for that was a knee injury that never healed completely. Yet, his story in football wasn’t over. He started to study to become a coach. He finally landed his first job as a manager in 1946, when he became the coach of Nacional from Uruguay. This squad can be wagered at any moment through the www.1xbet.ug/live/ online bookmaker.
After that, the Uruguayan became the manager of other teams, such as:
- Real Madrid;
- Barcelona;
- Colo-Colo;
- Real Madrid;
- and even the Uruguayan national football squad.
It is quite remarkable that Fernández was Barcelona’s coach between 1947 and 1950. He was hired by the Catalan team only a year after becoming Nacional’s manager. All these football squads are available for wagering with great odds through the 1xBet online bookmaker.
A legend in Spain
Fernández was the manager of Barcelona for only three years. However, he was extremely successful during that period. For example, he guided the squad into two spectacular La Liga titles. After leaving Catalonia, the Uruguayan returned to his home country, taking charge once again of Nacional, which won another league. Yet, in 1953, Fernández returned to Spain. This time he was appointed as a manager of Real Madrid. It should be noted that by that moment, the Spanish squad hadn’t obtained a La Liga title for approximately 20 years. However, the Uruguayan broke that negative record by helping the team to win the title of the 1953-54 season.
