The Pixel 7 Pro camera has been tested by DxOMark and in the photo shoots it surpasses iPhone 14 Pro by a whisker, which refers to the video part.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the smartphones of the moment. Announced a few days ago by Google, they are attracting public attention for their features and for the price that has remained unchanged compared to the previous generation. Now the DxOMark portal has put the photographic sector of the Pro model under the magnifying glass, which has managed to obtain exceptional results.
Pixel 7 Pro, in fact, placed itself in the first position making it the best smartphone for taking pictures, according to DxOMark.
The smartphone scored 147 points, tied with Honor Magic 4 Ultimate and by a whisker surpassing iPhone 14 Pro which – in turn – did better than Huawei P50 Pro. However, when comparing the results of Google’s top-of-the-range and top-of-the-range Apple, there are aspects where one prevails over the other.
In the photos, the Pixel 7 Pro wins with 148 points against 143 points of the iPhone 14 Pro which refers to the bokeh effect (80 against 70) and the accuracy of the preview (consistency on what you see on the screen before taking the photograph and the final result) where the iPhone scores 91 points against the 74 of the Pixel.
Apple’s proposal also wins on the video part (149 against 143), but Pixel 7 Pro gains in zoom (143 against 139 points). In short, it is in the taking of photographs that Big-G’s smartphone manages to surpass that of the Bitten Apple.
Focusing on the Pixel 7 Pro, the portal appreciated the precise exposure and wide dynamic range in both photos and videos, the fast and precise autofocus, the pleasant contrast in backlit portraits, the good presence of detail in all conditions, and effective stabilization in both static and moving scenes.
Recall that the Pixel 7 Pro features a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom.
