Infinix Note 50 Pro Review – Everything You Need to Know
Infinix Note 50 Pro Unboxing & Price
The brand has always been generous, and they give us more than we deserve in the box. I say more than we deserve because these brands out here don’t give us anything inside the box—just a USB C cable, that’s all.
Infinix is out here giving us a sim ejector tool, S VIP card, a screen guard, a beautiful case that also doubles for wireless charging, you get the 90-watt charging brick and USB-C cable, including the phone itself.
The Infinix Note 50 Pro cost 368,000 Naira, which is around $230 for the price you are getting the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space.
I don’t think there is a model with more ram or storage space. The storage type is UFS 2.2 and the RAM type is LPDDR4X which is on par with most of the competing phones around its price category.
Design & Build Quality
The moment I picked up the Infinix Note 50 Pro, I smiled.
This didn’t feel like a budget phone. Glass front, a metal frame, flat edges that scream flagship, and a weight that feels just right at 196g.
It’s slim, durable, and Infinix even added an IP64 water resistance rating.
There is an RGB light at the back for notifications. You can also use the sensor for notifications to measure your heart rate and blood oxygen levels.
The camera cut out is unique and I’m not sure I have seen this camera design anywhere.
We have two speakers tuned by JBL and they sound great. We have a dual sim card slot at the button and the Note 50 Pro supports dual 4.5G sim cards and there is also an IR blaster for controlling electronics.
The power key doubles as the One tap button and you can press and hold it to summon the AI assistant.
For design and build quality I don’t think there is any device that can beat this one for the price.
Display on The Infinix Note 50 Pro
We have an under-display fingerprint scanner on the phone that is fast and reliable. The display size is 6.78 inch and it’s AMOLED with 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
It has really slim bezels for the price and I don’t think there is any phone for less than 400K with slimer bezels.
It is responsive to touch and can reach 1300 nits of max brightness outdoors. The large size makes the display suitable for playing games and watching content and the color accuracy is also commendable.
For the price this is the display to beat. It is sharp, vibrant, and contrasty. The refresh rate also makes it even more smoother.
Performance Aspect
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate and it is a proven chipset for this price point.
It is capable of handling most of your smartphone tasks like browsing, watching content and even gaming.
The RAM and storage space also make it even more capable when it comes to multitasking.
I played Call of Duty mobile at medium graphics and high frame rate and it ran smoothly for over an hour without any lag.
Playing genshin impact on the infinix Note 50 Pro was smooth lowest frame rates. I also didn’t really experience any overheating while playing games or after prolonged usage.Â
Software Infinix Note 50 Pro Review
The Note 50 Pro is running on Android 15 with XOS 15 as the user interface and the user interface of the phone has been revamped completely. Right from the boot up page you will know that there is a difference.
Animations are smoother and faster and you also get more options to customize the phone. Icons look polished, and infinix is promising two years of software updates and three years security updates on the Note 50 Pro.
There are all your favorites like floating window and split screen and the phone also has dual space for those who need it.
You can do wallpaper theming which lets you change the color of the icons to match your wallpaper on the phone. The software on the Note 50 Pro is the most up-to-date from Infinix.
Infinix AI on The Infinix Note 50 Pro
There is a dedicated section for Infinix AI and there you will find useful AI features like circle to search which is one of my personal favorites.
You can tap and hold the bottom part of the display to trigger cirlce to seach. It can be used to search for anything on the screen or used to search for music.
Folax the AI assistant is even more powerful right now because it is powered by Deepseek R1.
There is one Sweet part on the Folax AI which is lovely and that is you can set Davido’s voice as the AI assistant Voice when you summon Folax.
There is Folax smart touch that lets you copy text on screen while you are watching a video or text on a picture.
I have used the AI to copy text from a YouTube video and I was surprised becasue the text was really clear. This feature on the Infinix Note 50 Pro is a very good feature as it helps more with accessibility.
Another useful AI feature on the Note 50 Pro is the AI translate which I personally named as call assistant, because it is a good feature that helps with your calls, you can easily use the AI to answer calls with someone in another language and you will get real-time translation. This feature is one of the selling points on Samsung Phones that Samsung talked about Last year, with this innovation on the Infinix Note 50 Pro, then for sure it means you are getting all the good features at a good price that is not expensive.
You can also use it to record calls and get a summarization when you are done. Infinix calls it AI Call Summary. There are a lot of great features and Spec on the Infinix Note 50 Pro that really makes your everyday life tasks more simpler.Â
There is a document and writing assistant as well on the Note 50 Pro which is useful for everyday professional that want to study large document or write smarter.
For document assistant when you upload a document no matter how large it summarises it and gives you precise and important points in the book. You can also use it to quiz yourself for an exam or test. For the writing assistant, it can help you rewrite text, correct spellings, perform searches and more.
In the Gallery, you can use AI for erasing unwanted objects in a photo or extracting objects from Images. normally you don’t find these features on low-budget smartphones around this price and they are really useful.
The Infinix Note 50 Pro is packed with a lot of useful AI features. if we decide to talk about them all we might have to write a separate article.
Let us know in the comment if you will be interested in a deep dive into Infinix AI.
Infinix Note 50 Pro Camera Aspect
The Infinix Note 50 Pro has two cameras at the back. A 50 MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
There is also have a 32 MP selfie camera but how do the images look? The images are nothing short of impressive.
You can see a lot of details and vibrance in the pictures. The pictures are consistent in terms of how they look and HDR is also handled quite well. It is also great that there isn’t much difference between the main camera and ultrawide lens.
Images look good even at night and I was impressed. The selfie is also great especially in environments with good lightning conditions.
There are times when its not consistent but keeping your hand steady while snapping will help you a lot. For video it cant shoot above 2K30fps and it was quite impressive.
Overall this is a camera you can depend on to get good shots for posting on social media.
Battery Aspect On the Note 50 Pro
We have a 5200mAh battery on the Note 50 Pro and Infinix used a Silicone Carbide battery which came to me as a surprise.
If there is any aspect that exceeded my expectations then it has to be the battery. The phone can last an entire day on a single charge and even when you are running out of juice the 90-watt charging brick takes it from zero to a hundred in less than 40 minutes.
The phone also supports 30-watts wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging and wired charging.
You can also use Magsafe accessories at the back of the phone. The battery and charging features of this phone can’t be matched by any around its price.
Rounding Up
Let me put it this way: If you blindfold someone and hand them this phone, they’d guess it costs way more than NGN 368,000. The Infinix Note 50 Pro feels like a flagship disguised as a mid-ranger. The design is clean, the display is sharp, the performance is solid, battery life is wild, and the camera holds its own.
It’s one of those phones that just ticks the right boxes. So, if you’re shopping in this price range and want a phone that looks, feels, and performs above its class this is it.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about the phone, or if you’ve already gotten the Note 50 Pro, what your experience has been like.
