The new Honor Magic5 Lite of the Chinese company has been officially unveiled and focuses on battery, design, and screen with mid-range figures.
In anticipation of the launch of the top-of-the-range Magic 5 Pro expected at Mobile World Congress 2023, Honor has already officially announced its new Magic5 Lite mid-range smartphone, which will replace the previous Magic 4 Lite 5G. Contrary to last year, however, this model looks very interesting and is positioned in a slightly higher market segment.
On the design side, the smartphone is reminiscent of last year’s predecessor, with the characteristic positioning of the rear photographic sensors within a ring. On the other hand, things change drastically from the front, thanks to a large 6.67-inch OLED panel curved on the sides with Full-HD + resolution, 120 Hertz refresh rate, and a convenient fingerprint reader.
To move Honor’s new mid-range smartphone we find again a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC with Adreno 919L GPU, accompanied by 6 Gigabytes of RAM memory (the virtual RAM function is present) and 128 Gigabytes of internal memory. The photographic sector will be able to count on a 64-megapixel main rear sensor, accompanied by a 5 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 Megapixel macro sensor.
The front camera, which is housed in a hole in the screen, is 16 megapixels. The equipment is completed by a 5,100 mAh battery with 40 Watt fast charging support. Bad news regarding the software, as we will once again find Android 12 with a customized Magic UI 6.1 interface and there is no precise information about the update times to Android 13.
Six months after the official release of the latest version of the green robot by Google, the Chinese company could certainly do a little more. In any case, Honor Magic5 Lite is already available for pre-order at the price of $379 in Emerald Green, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black colors. Will it be able to carve out its space in the crowded mid-range? We’ll see.
