Spoiler Alert: The Tecno Spark 10 Pro has won the phone with the best design for the year already. Before I start my Tecno Spark 10 Pro review, I need to say that the design is top-notch.
When it comes to one of the best and most notable smartphone brands in Nigeria and beyond the count, Tecno Mobile is always part of the list. Over the years, Tecno has always delivered great smartphones and Tecno has made its products come in different series. We have the Spark Series, Pova series, Camon series, and Phantom alongside the Pop series.
This is one of the reasons why Tecno is one of the best smartphone brands in Nigeria. The Spark Series is one of the best series that Tecno produces every year. The Spark series focuses on performance with a good camera and battery life.
Does the Spark 10 Pro carry on with this legacy? I mean good battery, camera, and performance? Well, this is my Tecno Spark 10 Pro Review and we will be looking at all of the aspects of the device. But I will say it again, the design of the Spark 10 Pro is elegant and I will tell you the reason why I have said that. Let’s talk about each aspect of the device.
Tecno Spark 10 Review – All Aspects That Makes a Great Smartphone
Before we talk about each aspect of the device, there is one crucial piece of information you should note about the Spark 10 Pro. The price is that information, the device cost NGN 119,000 naira in Nigeria which is equivalent to 150 USD.
Tecno Spark 10 Pro Design
Saying it for the second time, the Spark 10 Pro design is one of the best designs you can see on any device. And I will take this as the best design for the year. I am not exaggerating but I am saying the fact based on my experience with the device.
The smartphone is lightweight, remember that the device has a 5000mAh battery but this doesn’t make the device a heavy smartphone. The Spark 10 Pro is built with a Glass material build both the front and at the back and the build is 100% premium. It has a smooth finish on the rear design that doesn’t hold fingerprint marks.
The camera bump on the device has a similar look to the iPhones but you can argue that all you want, that iPhone has that design doesn’t mean another phone company cannot do something similar, the camera bump is flattened with the phones body. It doesn’t shoot out and this makes the device to be stable when placed down on a flat surface. Also, the build around the camera bump feels different from the rear’s build.
The phone has its fingerprint on the power button which makes it easy and much more comfortable to unlock the phone instantly. The side of the phone is flat and it is possible to make the device stand on the side – just for the fun part. The Spark 10 Pro still keeps the headphone port and Tecno added an earphone with the device in its box.
The Spark 10 Pro Display
To me, there is not much to say about the display in this Tecno Spark 10 Pro Review. I will rate the display 8 over 10 putting the price in mind. The display is built with a glass finish. I know it is the work of the Hard-wearing Starry Glass Tecno used in producing the display. In my opinion, the display is solid and very well-built.
It has a 6.8-inch size, the display goes up to 2k in terms of resolution. I love how Tecno gave us exciting value for the money paid for this device. The display can go high as up to 90Hz refresh rate. You can switch between 90Hz to 60Hz refresh rate and you can as well leave it at Auto Switching mode.
Consuming media or playing games on the Spark 10 Pro is vibrant and gives quality viewing pleasure. There are a lot of customizations you can do on the Spark 10 Pro thanks to the updated HiOS V12.6.0 preinstalled on the Spark 10 Pro
Camera
We live in an era where our smartphones serve as photography machines. All in all, everyone looks at the camera after looking at the design of the phone. Tecno has a specific series called the Camon series that focus mainly on the Camera and they always improve the camera system but we are not here to talk about that series.
The camera on the Spark 10 Pro has an identical arrangement to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. But you cannot expect the same performance you will get on the iPhone on the Spark 10 Pro device. The Spark 10 Pro performs great while I was testing it for the sake of this review, considering the factors that surround it (Price and not a flagship device).
Spark 10 Pro is built with a 32MP front camera that supports gestures like a smile shot – immediately you smile the camera takes the shot. On the rear side, it has a Triple setup, a 50MP main sensor alongside other two sensors that helps with Portrait picture and
The dynamic range on the Spark 10 pro is Good. The color clarity is also good. It has 4x optical zoom, giving you the chance to shoot pictures in the all 48MP mode to capture more details. Under Good lighting condition, the Spark 10 Pro performs well and give nice picture result.
With the Spark 10 Pro, you can shoot videos at 2k@30FPS – this is magnificent considering the price range for the device, You have the HDR mode as well for shooting much better video. Another great feature of the Spark 10 Pro is the Night shot option. Taking night shots on the device is well-improved and the shots are always great.
During my time with the device, before I come up with this Tecno Spark 10 Pro review, I noticed that there is a dedicated camera feature called film on the Spark 10 Pro. This is my best camera feature on the Spark 10 Pro! This option gives you preinstalled video motion template and all you need to do is to the template that you want boom you have the option to record videos in sport mode, street mode party mode, and more.
See some of the pictures I took on the Spark 10 Pro.
Performance
8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and a MediaTek G88 Gaming processor! All of this on a smartphone of this price? I forgot to add, you can increase the ram of the device to 16GB RAM thanks to the expandable RAM feature on the device.
The Spark 10 Pro is an excellent device. The Processor on the device makes it easy to multitask without lags. I used the device as my daily driver for a while and it worked seamlessly even with other apps opened, the current apps I was using worked perfectly, and no lags. When I go back to the app I minimized, the apps never restart.
When it comes to thermal! The device gets hot when you charge and your internet connection is on. Also, it gets hot when you are in an environment that doesn’t have good internet connectivity (common with almost all smartphones). The Spark 10 Pro doesn’t support a 5G network but there is Spark 10 5G that does.
I played some games like COD, call of Duty on the device, without adjusting the default settings the device is perfect and I was comfortable playing the game. Thanks to the wide screen of 6.8 FHD+ inches.
Missileanous
Battery – There is a 500mAh battery on the device, It supports a fast charging feature, thanks to the 18W fast charging feature. One of the things that I love about brands like Tenco is the fact that they still include charging bricks in the box and still give us the device at a very good price that is not too expensive.
The battery is 100% great. I charged the phone from 0 – 100% within a short time range. I put the phone on standby with data on and the device stayed up from 100% to 70% in two days. With my time on the device before I come up with the Tecno Spark 10 Pro Review I used the device for A day and a half with a single charge.
Fingerprint – The fingerprint is very fast and very comfortable to use within milliseconds you can unlock the device.
Aside from the Fingerprint sensor on the Spark 10 Pro, you can use the Face ID for unlocking but with my own experience with the device. The Fingerprint sensor feels more comfortable and it is very fast to unlock the device.
Vault –Â For more security and privacy on your smartphone, Tecno added a feature called Vault. The Vault can only be used if you turn it on and can only be used by the owner because you will need to use the fingerprint to access it. This means Tecno had a very serious business when it comes to Security.
Verdict
The Spark 10 Pro Review has shown that getting the Spark 10 Pro is a very good deal. Spending your money to get this phone at this price is awesome. You cannot expect much from a smartphone at this price. Nevertheless, the device packs very nice specs and will give you value for your money.
