Instagram Tests Post And Reel Scheduling

Instagram is testing the function to schedule posts and Reels with a tool inside the app, without having to use external tools.

Instagram is a social network widely used by content creators, influencers, and even companies. Among the many functions made available to professionals, there is a lack of content programming. Or rather, at the moment it is possible to program the contents (photos, videos, Reel) to be published on your accounts, but it is necessary to resort to external tools that allow you to do so. There is no tool inside the app itself. The situation could change very soon, as Instagram is testing the function to schedule posts and reels, a bit like it already happens on Facebook for company pages.

The parent company Meta (formerly Facebook) has already confirmed its development, stating that the function is already available for a small number of users. Precisely for this reason, a user showed the functioning of the programming in a discussion on Twitter.

How To Schedule Posts And Reels On Instagram

Scheduling an Instagram post in advance will be very simple. Just follow the classic steps for publishing a post. In the screen where the caption and all other information are entered, click on ” Advanced settings ” where the item ” Schedule this post ” will then appear. By clicking on it, a screen will appear where you can choose the date and time of publication.

To view or manage the scheduled contents, from your profile you will need to open the menu at the top right by clicking on the three horizontal lines and click on “ Scheduled contents ”. Here the scheduled contents will be shown and clicking on the three dots at the top left will open another menu that will allow you to edit the post, reprogram it, share it immediately, or delete it completely.

The function for the moment seems to be available for a very small number of users on Android smartphones. We do not know when it will be released in the final version and if it will also arrive at the same time on iPhones.
