Samsung Galaxy A12 vs Redmi 9T – All Aspect Comparison
Design Comparison

When it comes to design both phones are made of a plastic rear, plastic frame, and glass upfront. The Samsung A12 is a bit heavier than the Redmi as it weighs 205 grams while the Redmi 9t comes in at 198 grams. When it comes to protection the Redmi 9t has a gorilla glass 3 wrapped on the display while the Samsung does not have any type of covering. We have a pattern at the back of the Samsung A12 that makes it grippy. The Redmi 9t has a sort of matte type plastic finish with a Redmi inscription written boldly at the back.
We don’t have an IP Rating on the Redmi 9t but it has some water repellent coating making it safe from accidental drops in water. Both devices have four cameras at the back with the Samsung Galaxy A21 having a square bump that sits well at the back and doesn’t pultrude too much outside the phone. Redmi 9t has its cameras lined up vertically at the back of the phone. They both have a flashlight at the back. Upfront, we have a 6.5-inch display on both phones but the more on that later.
They both have a waterdrop notch with a single camera which Is something I don’t like I feel punch hole should be the norm in 2021. Both phones use the side-mounted unlock key as the fingerprint sensor it is faster and much more convenient to use in my opinion. The speaker on both phones is located at the bottom and it can be blocked with your hand while consuming media or gaming that of the Redmi 9T is louder.
They both use a type C charging port but the Redmi has an IR blaster so it can be used as a remote to control other gadgets. In this aspect, the Redmi 9t has a slight edge over the Galaxy A12.
Display Aspect – Samsung Galaxy A12 vs Redmi 9T
In this aspect, both devices have a 6.5inch display with the Galaxy A12 using a PLS TFT while the Redmi 9t uses an IPS LCD. Both the IPS and PLS technology are similar they both share huge similarities during day-to-day usage. The redmi 9t has a 1080 p display while the Samsung has a 720p display with the redmi 9t having more pixel density at 400ppi.
On the Samsung A12, we have an 83% screen to body ratio while the redmi has an 84% screen to body. The redmi has a smaller chin and bezels. Overall the display of the redmi is way ahead of the Samsung A12
Software and Performance Aspect
This is one aspect where Samsung has an edge over the Redmi because their UI is much cleaner. Both phones run on Android 10 with the Samsung Galaxy A12 using the core One UI 2.5 it has some limited features.
The Redmi 9t runs on android and MIUI 12 and it is filled with aggressive ads that get in the way of a smooth User experience. Both phones have bloatware’s but it is more evident on the redmi. The Samsung Galaxy A12 has a much better UI.

Performance
Samsung Galaxy a12 has the Mediatek Helio P35 while the Redmi 9t has the Snapdragon 662. They are both octa-core processors but the redmi 9t has an 11-nanometer processor as against the 12-nanometer processor on the Samsung.
The Samsung A12 uses the power VR-GE8320 as its GPU while we have the Adreno 610 as the GPU for the redmi 9t.
when it comes to day-to-day usage the chip on the redmi is ahead especially because the Helio P35 is an old chip. I feel if Samsung had used the newer Mediatek chipset it would have even been ahead of the Redmi 9t.
Camera Aspect Samsung Galaxy A12 vs Redmi 9t
They both have a Quad camera setup at the back with the primary sensor on both phones being a 48MP camera. We have a 5MP Ultrawide camera, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor on the Samsung A12. On the Redmi 9t, we have an 8MP Ultrawide camera, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Both phones shoot 1080p at 30fps with the rear camera.
For selfies we have an 8MP camera on the front it also shoots 1080 at 30 fps at max. In this aspect, Samsung is clearly ahead even though they both share similar camera configurations.
It is largely down to image processing and software. I can’t overemphasize how good the rear camera of the A12 is.
Battery Aspect
The A12 has a 5000mAh battery and a 15W fast charger outside the box while the Redmi has a 6000mAh battery and an 18W fast charger. Battery life on both phones is superb you are guaranteed more than a day of battery juice even under heavy usage on both phones.
But the Redmi still has an edge over the galaxy A12 because of the extra 1000mAh battery it can easily be a two days battery phone.
